Program Descriptions
The key to this program is the Stress Processing Report (SPR), a unique self-assessment that helps participants determine how they currently manage change and other stressful situations, and what they can do to manage these situations better in the future. As they work to improve their thinking and behavior using the SPR, they also enhance job performance. The SPR measures 19 distinct but interrelated orientations of thinking that research has shown are linked to psychological and physiological symptoms of stress.
Objectives:
Upon program completion, participants will have a greater understanding of the degree to which their personal styles are healthy versus stressful along 19 specific dimensions organized into four clusters (Self, Others, Process, and Goals).
They will be able to:
- Increase their awareness of how stress works and the role of internal stressors
- Understand how their own thinking increases or reduces stress
- Identify personal sources of stress
- Defuse stressful situations
- Be proactive rather than reactive in stressful situations
- Improve psychological and physical health and promote higher levels of productivity, cooperation, personal effectiveness
The key component of this program is The Conflict Dynamics Profile® (CDP), a 360-degree feedback instrument which assesses effective and non-effective responses to workplace conflict and identifies causes of interpersonal conflict. The instrument is for individuals who want (or need) to understand how they manage and cope with conflict and how their actions are interpreted by others. Unlike most conflict instruments on the market which examine styles, the CDP focuses exclusively on the behaviors people typically display when faced with conflict.
The Conflict Dynamics Profile® produces a complete "conflict profile" by providing feedback on:
- what provokes an individual (Hot Buttons)
- how that individual perceives the way s/he typically responds to conflict
- how others view that individual responding to conflict
- how the individual responds before, during and after conflict
- which responses to conflict have the potential to harm one's position in a particular organization
As a psychometrically sound instrument, the CDP shows solid evidence of reliability and validity and has been normed against a variety of organizations. Easily completed in 20-25 minutes, the CDP comes with a thorough Development Guide offering practical tips and strategies for strengthening conflict management skills. Applicable for all types of organizations, the instrument can be used within the context of an existing training program, as a stand-alone assessment for an individual or group of employees, or as part of a coaching intervention. The Profile is used by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) ® in its Foundations of Leadership Program.

It allows them to begin making choices in favor of a unique and personally fulfilling life. It provides them with their own Personal Strategic Plan.
Objectives:
Upon program completion, participants will have a greater understanding of their true passions in life together with a means of breaking through the barriers that keep them locked in unfulfilling ways of living.
They will be able to:
- Clarify what truly matters to them
- Design an action plan for achieving their core passions
- Identify limitations and fears that block them from pursuing their passions
- Eliminate inappropriate beliefs and behaviors
- Reduce the stress that comes from living out of alignment with true desires

- Enjoy increased confidence in their talents, choices and potential
- Use a breakthrough system that offers a powerful way to transform the thinking patterns leading to stress
This program introduces participants to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a unique form of acupuncture without the needles. It uses the ancient Chinese meridian system to relieve psychological stress and physiological pain. EFT balances the energy system with a tapping procedure that stimulates designated meridian endpoints on the face and body. This common sense approach draws its power from (1) time-honored Eastern discoveries that have been around for over 5,000 years and (2) Albert Einstein, who told us back in the 1920's that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy.
Objectives:
Participants will learn and be able to use EFT to gain rapid freedom from the effects of trauma, anger, fears, phobias, anxiety, stress, learning blocks, other emotional issues and poor performance or specific problems in areas such as golf, sports, music and public speaking.
Participants can use EFT to:
- Become more motivated to achieve goals
- Create a more positive attitude
- Gain more self-confidence
- Increase self-worth
- Open up to creativity
- Develop alternative strategies for coping
- Improve personal performance
Programs using EFT include:
Divorce Your Fears, Habits and Cravings
EFT can successfully alleviate panic attacks, generalized anxiety, fears (public speaking, snakes, spiders, flying, needles, elevators), addictive cravings (chocolate, cigarettes), habits (nail biting, hair pulling) and many more. A few rounds of EFT not only rapidly dissipate a current attack but, in addition, noticeably reduce ... or eliminate ... future occurrences.
Take Out Your Emotional Trash: Transform Guilt, Shame and Low Self-Esteem
EFT relieves anger, guilt and shame by targeting specific events and underlying beliefs. Participants are empowered towards emotional growth by releasing negative and limiting belief patterns such as “I don’t deserve success,” “I’m a nothing,” “I’m not lovable.”
Improve Personal/Business/Sports Performance
Using EFT athletes can successfully take control of their mental focus, self-talk and internal imagery to reduce muscle tension, conquer performance anxiety, and neutralize other psychological blocks hindering peak performance. With this mind/body approach, the muscles that always cause the golf ball to go into the water or the backhand to go into the net, can relax and begin to move in a different way.
Desperately Seeking Balance
Balance is never a static state. You don’t get your life into balance and stay there. Balance is “an inside job” – thoughts and beliefs determine whether or not you feel in control of your life. Moving toward a more balanced life involve the three steps of awareness, education and growth. Rather than continuing to live on “automatic pilot”, this program allows participants to take an inventory of their satisfaction with their lives in the areas of career, finances, health, spiritual life, relationships, community, personal growth, fun and environment and eliminate inappropriate and unhelpful behaviors.
Break Free From Your Cravings
Do you feel like foods have control over you? Do you binge on low quality foods? Do you eat for reasons other than hunger? Food is often used to "tranquilize" anxiety caused by unresolved emotional issues. Until one's underlying anger, fear, guilt, trauma, etc. are dissipated, the eating disorder will remain. EFT can target and relieve those underlying feelings that drive the urgent food cravings, compulsive overeating, and other sabotaging behaviors.
Eating for Energy … The Fuel That Keeps you Going
The program teaches participants how to select food that will sharpen the mind, modify moods and increase energy. In the process they will be able to overcome the daily “energy slumps”, thus becoming more effective and productive in their jobs.
Participants will be able to:
- Gain an understanding of the ways that foods affect body chemistry and energy levels
- Increase their knowledge of healthy substitutes for some of the common addictive items such as sugar and caffeine
- Discover new ways to combat fatigue and tiredness
Participants will learn how to think critically about food choices, read labels and evaluate foods.
Topics covered also include:
Metabolic Profiling – a means of assessing foods that are most appropriate for an individual’s metabolism. Not what friends say, not what some "expert" says, not what may be read in a magazine -- rather, a diet that is precisely tailored and customized for THAT person’s metabolism. High protein, high fat, low carb? Vegetarian? Low fat, low protein, high complex carbs?
Glycemic Index (GI) – a ranking of carbohydrate-containing foods, based on the food's effect on blood sugar compared with a standard reference food's effect. High-glycemic foods (i.e., rapidly absorbed carbohydrates such as white bread, soft drinks, snacks, etc.) result in a rapid rise in blood sugar followed by an insulin spike and drop in blood sugar. This results in hunger and a tendency to eat more often, which may lead to increased calorie intake, obesity and health issues.
Benefits
- Increased understanding of how food quality is a key factor in human biochemistry
- Increased understanding that all carbohydrate foods are not created the same and can behave very differently in our bodies.
- Knowledge that can lead to weight loss, reduced body fat and reduction in risk factors for diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
- Reduction in hunger and more balanced body energy
