Change Your Beliefs, Change Your Stress

The key to this program is the Stress Processing Report (SPR), a unique self-assessment that helps participants determine how they currently manage change and other stressful situations, and what they can do to manage these situations better in the future. As they work to improve their thinking and behavior using the SPR, they also enhance job performance. The SPR measures 19 distinct but interrelated orientations of thinking that research has shown are linked to psychological and physiological symptoms of stress.

Objectives:

Upon program completion, participants will have a greater understanding of the degree to which their personal styles are healthy versus stressful along 19 specific dimensions organized into four clusters (Self, Others, Process, and Goals).
They will be able to:

  • Increase their awareness of how stress works and the role of internal stressors
  • Understand how their own thinking increases or reduces stress
  • Identify personal sources of stress
  • Defuse stressful situations
  • Be proactive rather than reactive in stressful situations
  • Improve psychological and physical health and promote higher levels of productivity, cooperation, personal effectiveness
